The Holy Seed is Christ Jesus the Son of God and the children of God chosen in him before the world began. When the LORD made his everlasting covenant with Abraham, Paul said, Galatians 3: 16: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. The promise was that in Christ the Seed, the LORD would make a great nation of a people saved out of every nation on earth. That is what the LORD promised Abraham in the everlasting covenant of grace, when he declared, And in thy Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed (Gen 22: 18.)

Not all of Abraham's descendants, but Abraham's true sons and daughters, would be a holy people made so by Christ the Holy Seed. Abraham's seed would be the Nation which the LORD would exalt above all nations of the earth. This would be a Nation made up of a people who were all one by faith in Christ the Holy Seed. For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (Rom 3; 28, 29.) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3: 28, 29.)

The nation Israel was formed by God to be a type of his true Israel. Yet, even within that nation the LORD did have a very small remnant. Isaiah said in chapter 1 verse 9: Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. The reference is to Lot who was one whom God had chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. God promised Abraham he would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah until Lot was called out. Was it because Lot was of the nation of Israel that the LORD saved him out of Sodom? No, the nation of Israel did not even exist at that time. It was because by God's grace the LORD had chosen lot in his Son, who when he came to save his people would be the Seed of woman, the Holy Seed. It was because of the Spirit of Christ his Surety--the Substance, the spiritual Life--that Lot was spared. So it was with this remnant whom the LORD would preserve in the nation Israel and so it is with his remnant throughout the Gentile nations.

By God's free prerogative to chose whom he will, God's Israel is made up of some English Israelites, some American Israelites, some German Israelites, some Italian Israelites, and so on--the promise to Christ the Seed and to Abraham was--out of all nations.
