Webcast: Our Adoption in Christ
"Knowing The Truth " with Pastor Kevin Boling is a live, call-in radio program providing Doctrinal Dialog, Cultural Commentary and Insightful Interviews with some of today's foremost Christian authors and leaders. On Saturday, Nov. 1st 2008, Together for Adoption will host their first regional conference at South Side Fellowship in Greenville, SC. The theme of the conference is "Our Adoption in Christ: What it means for us and for Orphans ".
The conference will feature a number of speakers including; Jason Kovacs (ABBA Fund), Maridel Sandberg (Christian Alliance for Orphans), Dan Cruver (T4A Director), Richard Phillips (Second Presbyterian Church), Russell Moore (SVP School of Theology at Southern Seminary), Carl Robbins (Woodruff Road Presbyterian), Tullian Tchividjian (New City Church).
On the "Knowing The Truth" radio program today, I will speak with some of the conference speakers about the subjects they will be addressing at the conference.
Dan Cruver will speak about the purpose of the conference and why he invited these particular people to speak.
We will then speak with Tullinan Tchividjian (rhymes with religion) about his topic - "Our Adoption and Visiting Orphans in Their Affliction". Tullian also has a new book (April 2009) entitled "Unfashionable" - it would be interesting to hear him tell us how adoption fits in with the subject of that new book.
We will then ask Carl Robbins and Richard Phillips about their conference sessions - "Adoption and the Multi-Ethnic Family of God" and "The Good News of Adoption".
