Peter declared the name which saves, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole. At Calvary, the spotless Lamb who obeyed every precept of God's law laid down his life, was made a curse, the just in place of the unjust. As the Lamb provided by God, sacrificed by God, offered up to God in stead of our filthy self-righteousnesses, he, by himself, eternally satisfied his own justice. He declared God just in justifying all for whom he died. With the names of his elect upon his breastplate he arose and entered into the holiest of holies where he ever lives to make intercession for his redeemed--those he perfected by his one offering.

By his sovereign operation of grace within those he redeemed he gives lame sinners perfect soundness in him. It is not by our own power or holiness that sinner's are made whole; it is his name through faith in his name that makes helpless sinners strong; yea, the faith which is by him gives sinners perfect soundness (I Peter 1: 23; John 6: 63.)

He does not heal in stages. Sinners are not made whole progressively, but immediately. Matthew 4:22: And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him. Matthew 8:3: And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Luke 4:39: And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them. Believer's grow in grace but not in perfection before God. When Christ comes to certain, sick sinners through his gospel, he gives the command in power, saying "Arise, and make thy bed." The result is perfect soundness right then, And he arose immediately.
