OR suppose we could send only one man, full of the Holy Ghost, totally given over to the written Word of God, to preach from village to village, Paul-like, the unsearchable riches of Christ.

I'll take the one man over the system any day. Rome has proved what it will do when given the chance. Christ has proved what He can do through one man. Let us follow Christ alone into North Korea.

What produces spiritual, true, unity? John 17:22 says that it is the glory of God, evident in a Spirit-filled believer. Man's glory fades and grows dim and dies out altogether. That which seems right and good and powerful among men is a waste of time in Heaven.

Our goal is not church unity, according to Jesus, John 17:23. Our goal is oneness with Christ. Our goal is Christ in us and us in Christ. There follows spiritual perfection, holiness. This holiness and glory of God is broadcast to those around us and they want to know Christ too. The wording of the verse calls for one cause and two effects: The cause is Christ in His people and God in Christ. The first effect is perfection of the church. The second effect is that the message of God's truth and love will be given to the world.

Hey, read it for yourself: "I in them, and You in Me; that (1) they may be made perfect in one, and that (2) the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."

Where did we get the idea that if the church all gets together, everyone will get saved? It's not in the prayer of Jesus!

I sound again the warning to those members of the Body who will read this: Beware false "official" unity that has as its end a political power with which the church will "overwhelm" the world, and in our case, the newly-opened North Korea. Seek to know Him intimately and personally and the Koreans will come to you asking for what you have.
