Then there's the ideal "class-less" society. In fact there are three major categories of citizens, based on loyalty to the government, and 54 variations or gradations of those three. One of the most "stigmatised" groups, as in all Communist countries, is the descendants of land-owners, the ones who had any holdings before the take-over. Another step down is members of families of South Korean soldiers taken prisoner during the Korean War. Among the worst groups also are families of traitors sentenced during that same war. And persons who have family in South Korea or Japan. Or families of criminals. Or families of those condemned for listening to South Korean radio broadcasts, reading South Korean books. The list goes on.

Guilt by birth. Condemned to an evil life by genetics. It's called caste in India.

Yet by the grace of God there is a remnant of believers sprinkled throughout the land. And these atrocities are whetting the appetite of the North for more calling upon the Lord of Heaven. When the truth is known of what has been done, the people will be free to leave their "class" and join the family of Heaven, where one is innocent by association with Christ.
