Kim Hyun Hee's time came after her heinous destroying of scores of innocent South Korean airplane passengers under the direction of Kim Il Sung. (See her book, The tears of my soul.) She is arrested, her partner commits suicide. She tries but is unsuccessful.

""And then I did something for the first time in my life, something very strange : I prayed."

I do hope that was not her last prayer, because it has still gone un-answered: Please God, wherever you are, help me to die, right now. PLEASE.

For the first time in her life she had called out to someone other than Kim Il Sung, "who was the closest thing to a deity that I had ever known."

Later she comes to hate Kim Il Sung even as she learns more and more appreciation for the One Who would not lie to her. She comes to Christ and begins speaking in South Korean churches, experiencing God's greatest gift:

"The Lord has shown me his great works and miracles" she says to one church. After her speech are many "amens," and members of the congregation are in tears.

"It was overwhelming to me that I should be shown such forgiveness, and I was thankful that I had found this sanctuary of God to help me in my new life."

As I have documented elsewhere, her new life includes hiding from North and South Koreans alike who want to finish what they would call the real justice that Hyun deserves.
