May 7th ), a press conference was held by some major Evangelical leaders to announce the release of a new document entitled, "The Evangelical Manifesto". In conjunction with that press conference an associated web site was launched (see http://www.anevangelicalmanifesto.com/ )
The purpose of the document as stated in the opening section is "to address any confusions and corruptions that attend the term ‘Evangelical'" and "to clarify where we stand on issues that have caused consternation over Evangelicals in public life." The document is "a public declaration, addressed both to our fellow-believers and to the wider world".
On today's "Calling For Truth" Radio Program, we will discuss this newly released document.
