If you believe in or practice any of the following five teachings/practices you are spiritually committing adultery with "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (Rev. 17:5).

1. Arminianism (or denying the sovereignty of God in any other way).

"For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy" (Romans 9:15).

2. Federal Vision heresy (or denying justification by faith alone in other ways).

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified" (Galatians 2:16).

3. Keeping man made (Popish) holy days like Christmas, Easter, etc. (which is a common form of Papal idolatry).

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time" (Daniel 7:25).

4. Singing man made "hymns" in the public worship of God, instead of the singing God's Psalms exclusively in public worship, which were given for this purpose (which is a denial of the sovereignty of God in worship, or what is now called the regulative princle of worship, and sola Scriptura).

"But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Matthew 15:9).

5. Using musical instruments in public worship, what the best Reformers called "the badge of Popery" (as this brings abrogated ceremonies or "shadows" into public worship, which is one way to practically deny the work of Christ, violate the second commandment, and which is also a denial of the sovereignty of God in worship).
