UNDERSTANDING HOW GOD HATH GLORIFIED HIS SON

Acts 3: 11: And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. 12: And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13: The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus..."

What an undeniable fact, God hath glorified his Son Jesus--the GodMan! The God who promised free salvation to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through the Seed to be born from their lineage hath glorified his Son Jesus. God, whom our fathers believed through faith beholding God's promise afar off, hath glorified his Son Jesus. The everlasting covenant was and is effectual to save because it is a promise between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Fulfilling that covenant, under God's law in this world, God' Son Jesus honored and magnified the precept of God's law as the representative of a people who could in no wise obey God due to sin. The law witnesses that the faith of Jesus Christ toward God is truly the righteousness of God. Yet, God's law says nothing about one paying the wages of sin for another.

So furthermore, the Faithful One trusted God's word to him and therefore laid down his life satisfying the penalty which God's law demanded from those given him in eternity. In his Son Jesus, God declares that he saves righteously for in his Son the law is satisfied toward his redeemed therefore he is just to adorn them in the riches of his grace and mercy. The Holy Spirit declared the faithfulness of our covenant God when, like he promised his Son, he raised him from the grave. God set forth his Son and manifest the righteousness of God before the whole world when his Son took his seat as King in his holy hill of Zion. Therefore, every time the Holy Spirit creates a new nature in a sinner which was dead from his mother's womb, let all be assured and declare boldly with the apostle Peter, "The God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus."
