I apologize for not posting this earlier. We were incredibly busy packing up our things to leave Scammon Bay and turn over all the pastoral responsibilities to our church board chair.
Lisa, Rachel, and I departed our home in Scammon Bay and our beloved Yup'ik people with many tears on January 16th. After a week in Soldotna, Kenai, and Eagle River, we flew out of Anchorage on January 23 and arrived in Riverside, California.
We don't have Internet access available in my mother's home where we are staying, so we were able to get to a Christian cafe that has a wireless Internet connection in order to upload a few sermons (our Scammon Bay connection was just too slow). I hope to get to as many emails as I can, but if I don't, please know that I do want to respond to you. Lisa and I have received such encouraging emails from as far away as England, Ireland, and Japan... as well as from those of you in the good old USA, from as far away from Alaska as South Carolina and Florida. Thank you so much.
On the medical side of things... I've already been able to see several neurologists at Loma Linda Medical University. I've already been through my second Electromyogram (EMG) so they can tell whether I have ALS or not. I have another appointment with the nuerologists on February 22nd.
The Lord has been so gracious to my family and I. I've been keeping busy with homeschooling Rachel, writing a treatise, praying and worshiping the Lord, and making myself available for itinerant preaching. We'll continue to post messages on this site as they become available... and as Internet also becomes available.
