“And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, ‘I will; be clean.’ And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

There is power in the blood of Jesus. There's such wealth in his touch that the soul is made whole!

Immediately, we're healed of guilt, fear, and shame. It may take us months or years to find Christ, but he's nearer than Israel to the Promised Land. A journey that took them forty years, because of unbelief, could have lasted only eleven days!

Christ is near to us, and willing to make us whole. Preach his cleansing touch and power over sin. Preach him mighty to save forever more them that come to God by him. Preach him sat down at the right hand of the Father, because he obtained eternal redemption. Preach him as the Surety of the Covenant, who guarantees salvation for everyone that the Father gave him. Preach his blood as an atonement made, received by faith, but satisfying to God before we believed. Preach the Holy Spirit as his Gift!

Tell the poor sinner that Christ makes us clean! It's not tithing or working; it's not church attendance. It's faith in his all sufficiency as a Savior.

Jesus made the leper clean in a moment! As soon as we believe, the Spirit comes, and we are no longer slaves of sin. We walk in obedience and holiness, increasingly, as we keep on trusting Christ.

Sin is big for us, and demons mock us. For Jesus, however, the vilest depravity flees, and love springs from the soul. Trust him to heal you of every plague - pride, self righteousness, lust, and envy: these must scatter. Don't trust what you can do, or past failures. Believe on the Son of God.
