I was rummaging through my Bible the other day looking for the Biblical justifcation for this new theology. I went through It forward, then tried going through It backward. I turned the Book upside down, thinking maybe there was a secret code I could find, as in the "backward masking" scam of years ago.

I shook the Book violently, hoping a page would be torn loose that would hold the passage that allows such a strange twist to things. Nada.

Folks, it's not there. The wife of a pastor is... the wife of a pastor, still. Their list of duties is also the same (I Timothy 3:11-12): They must be serious, not slanderers, faithful... Nothing has changed.

Oh, and I meant to ask one of them, in this age of liberated women: Suppose I, as a man, would marry a woman who considers herself a pastor. In the new thinking, would I automatically be a pastor too? Wow, wouldn't that be nice. No studies. No laying on of hands. Instant ordination!
