CALL TO WORSHIP
When oceans vast their depths reveal
And moons have ceased to wain,
The Lamb, who died and rose again
On Zion’s hill shall reign.
His name shall evermore endure
When suns have ceased to shine
And through eternity the saints
Will sing His praise divine.
As countless as the drops of dew
Or sands upon the shore
Are blessings which the ransomed have
In Him forevermore.
Let ev’ry other name recede
His name alone extol
In Him reserved there is the grace
To satisfy my soul.
(Tune: “Amazing Grace” p. 236)

WHEN IS A SINNER JUSTIFIED?
There has been much debate about this subject, but there doesn’t need to be. God’s Word makes it clear when sinners are justified.
- God’s elect were justified before creation. (Rom. 8:28-30)
- God’s elect were justified when Christ shed His blood on Calvary’s tree as the sacrifice for the sin of His people. (Rom. 5:9)
- God’s elect are justified when they are given faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 13:39, Rom. 3:26)
- In heaven, when all of God’s elect have been conformed to the image of Christ, we will be justified without any sin ever again in us or around us.
Rather than debate about when sinners are justified, let’s spend our time thanking God that He justifies sinners by His grace.
Pastor
“FOR CHRIST’S SAKE” – Ephesians 4:32
Everything God has for sinners, does for sinners, and gives to sinners is ‘for Christ’s sake.’ What comfort that is and what a sure ground for hope. God has for Christ and in Christ blessed His people with all spiritual blessings. God has chosen us, adopted us, accepted us, redeemed us, forgiven us, and will gather us to Christ so that we may be with Christ where He is forever. Oh, what will God not do for His people ‘for Christ’s sake!’ Child of God, we can rest here, knowing it is not what we deserve in ourselves, but what Christ deserves as the cause of all that God does for us.
Pastor Larry Criss
We are not saved because we believe in total depravity; we are saved because Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. We are not saved because we believe in sovereign grace; we are saved because the sovereign God has been gracious to us. We are not saved because we believe in effective, limited atonement; we are saved because the Lord Jesus Christ did not fail in His work of redemption. We are not saved because we believe in irresistible grace; we are saved because God, the Holy Spirit, moved upon us with Divine, unstoppable power when He called us to Christ. We shall not be saved because we believe in the perseverance of the saints; we shall be saved because He who began His good work in us will perfect it until the Day of Christ! It is all Him.
Pastor Joe Terrell
Everlasting Salvation
Romans 8:30 “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
The key word here is “He”. Everything in this verse is past tense. He did everything! So when did “He'' do all of this? Before time! Eph. 1:4, 2 Tim 1:9. Our God is everlasting. Time is just another instrument in the eternal orchestra of His glorious redemptive work. Time does not constrain or restrain Him! Everything our God has done is from everlasting (Psalm 93:2, Proverbs 8:22)! This includes justification and righteousness imputed to His people!
Pastor Caleb Hickman
Justified
Why do we believe something we cannot see? Something even contrary to our experience. One reason, because God said so. Faith simply believes God. We cannot see it, nor is it consistent with our experience, but all those in Christ are without sin (Justified) before God. “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment.: because as He is, so are we in this world.” Jn. 4:17. How can this be? “For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” Heb 10:14. “Who was delivered for our offences and raised again for our justification.” Rom 4:25
