“Come unto Me.” (Isaiah 55:1-5)

It is God’s decree and purpose that all those whom He has chosen in Christ will without fail come to Him by faith; that He has freely given and that they will persevere in His grace unto endless glory to forever be in His presence. All the elect, without fail, will hear His Voice and obey His gracious summons and loving command to bow and worship before Him in humble submission and admiration. There are no ‘ifs’ or ‘maybes’ concerning God’s purpose of grace in Christ Jesus our LORD. Neither is there any condition prefixed to His call in electing grace “Come unto me”. All that God the Father required and demanded of His people has been answered and fulfilled in Christ, our Substitute. So, when He effectually calls, they come!

There is no obstacle or barrier to prevent those He calls from coming to Him, not even sin because Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us and justified us before the Father by His shed blood at the cross. Therefore, we have no sin to condemn us! In Him we are complete! No sin…, declared righteous…, accepted and glorified in Christ, Ephesians 1:6.
