The Believer’s Testimony

Though seeing myself as the chief of sinners, yet I believe God’s Word that in Christ there is no condemnation for me. Though conscious of my ignorance and foolishness in the flesh, I believe His Word, which declares that Christ is my Wisdom and in Him, I know God. Though sensible of sin in my nature and flesh, His Word declares that ‘in Christ’ I am accounted holy, unblameable and unreprovable in God’s sight. I see evil covering the earth and Satan exercising dominion everywhere, yet His Word declares that Satan and evil are defeated and cast out and our LORD Jesus reigns. All things are under His feet. I cannot, with these eyes see a visible Christ, a cross, a throne or a Holy Spirit; yet by His Word, I believe a crucified, buried and risen Savior now reigns on a throne of grace and sent His blessed Holy Spirit to quicken, call and lead me to look to Him for all things.

What I see with these natural eyes is sickness, the deathbed, the coffin and the grave! Yet, I do not believe in sickness but in His health. I do not believe in death but in Him Who is Eternal Life. I do not believe in corruption but in His holiness. I do not believe in the grave but in Him Who conquered the grave and said, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in me shall never die.”
