“Coffee with Christ”

(Galatians 5:13)
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

There is a dangerous teaching in the church today that believers are not bound by the law. In a sense that is true in that it is not by living under the law that we are saved. Though it is true that we are not bound by the law it is also true that we are bound to the law by cords of love! Certainly not the Ceremonial Law of the Old Testament, but the Moral Law of both the Old and New. To use Grace as an excuse to continue living a life that is sinful according to scripture is a disgrace to Grace! God has called us to be Holy for He is Holy. To come out from among “them” and be Holy. We are not being Pharisees because we say we are obedient to the Word of God. Striving against the flesh to keep ourselves spotless from the world is putting God first, others second and ourselves last. That is Godliness!

(Romans 6:1-4)
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
