CALL TO WORSHIP
CHRIST IS ALL I NEED
Words by Frank Tate
I was lost and could not see, what my sin had done to me.
But the Spirit made me know, Christ could pay the debt I owe.
Everything I’ll ever need, is in Christ who died for me.
When I lean upon His breast. when I learn in Him to rest.
Oh what joy then fills my heart. Christ and I shall never part.
Everything I’ll ever need, is in Christ who died for me.
Righteousness and peace divine, Christ earned for me and made mine.
To my Savior I will cling. All His praises I will sing.
Everything I’ll ever need, is in Christ who died for me.
When I on my deathbed lie. When I leave here with a sigh.
On my Savior I’ll depend. By His grace I will ascend.
Christ for me a place prepared. None with Him can be compared.

HELD BY LOVE
Nails did not hold the Savior to the cross. His love for His people held Him to the cross. The only way the people He loved could be saved is by His suffering unto death. In the same way, the threats of the law and the chains of man’s religion do not hold believer’s to Christ. It is love for Christ that binds us to Him.

WHO CAN CHARGE US?
Here is what every believer knows from the testimony of scripture and from the experience and conviction of his own heart (John 16:8- 11). We know, recognize and confess the problem and plague of our own heart, is sin (Rom. 3:9-12; 5:12). But thank God, we also know the solution for sin, Christ and Him crucified (1Cor. 2:2), Christ our propitiation for our sin (Rom. 3:25). Christ Jesus crucified (Rom. 4:25), the Substitute (2Cor.5:21), Surety (Heb.7:22), Satisfaction (1John 4:10) and Saviour (Matt. 1:21) is our only answer to every just charge against us, “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Rom. 8:33-34).

A WITNESS OF TRUTH - Proverbs 14:25
“A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.“
A true witness is a witness of Truth. A man who tells the truth concerning God, God’s Christ, and God’s Gospel is one whom God uses as a means to deliver souls. “But a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” No one has ever been saved under the sound of a lie. Any preaching that attempts to diminish God and exalt man is a lie. Christ, speaking of His own said, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:16-17) God’s people are set aside (sanctified) through the Truth of Christ and His Gospel, which is found only in His Holy Word. The Word of God is the unadulterated Truth. Thank God that He enables His servants to preach the Truth of His Word. Anything and everything else is a lie.
Pastor David Eddmenson
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Acts 16:31
Yes, this is the command of God for all men everywhere. However, we must not isolate this command from the very next verse. “And they spake unto him the word of the Lord”. In order for this poor suicidal soul to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, he had to know who He was and what He had done. Our call for men to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ may sound like the cry of all so-called Christianity. But the command to believe is not detached from declaring His glorious person and accomplished work, from the Word of the Lord. The difference is who, and what we are calling on men to believe. We call on men to believe that Jesus (the successful, sin-bearing, Savior of His people), Is the Christ (the anointed, promised, Messiah, intercessor, and Surety of God’s elect), the Son of God (the uncreated, eternal, Sovereign in all things). If the Spirit of God is pleased to give irresistible, saving faith, sinners will believe and be saved.
