In this final edition of the Heritage Herald for 2022, it's good to look back over the last year and reflect on what our Lord has taught us and where He has brought us. We have been the recipients of great blessings! Here are some of the highlights...

WHAT GOD HAS TAUGHT US:

God taught us wonderful truth through the preaching of the Word, as we went through Ephesians, 1 Peter, the 10 Commandments, Nahum, and 2 Peter. He continues to feed us in the morning and evening preaching series through 1 Corinthians and Hosea respectively. We also learned a lot from Caleb Maltby's teaching series on Denominations Through the Ages, his miniseries on Marriage and Family, Biblical Sexuality, as well as his series through the Ordo Salutis (Order of Salvation), the Ancient Church, and Eschatology. WHERE GOD HAS BROUGHT US:

NEW, PARTICULARIZED CHURCH- On May 20, 2022, New Braunfels OPC moved from being a church plant of South Austin Presbyterian Church and became Heritage Presbyterian Church, a new congregation of the OPC. Pastor Miller was installed as the founding pastor. Elder Lovelady was ordained and installed as our Ruling Elder. NEW BUILDING- In August of this year, we moved into our new building, which has been such a blessing to us!

NEW AUGMENTED ELDER- In September, the Presbytery of the Southwest approved our petition for Elder John Terpstra to augment the Heritage Session. He has been a blessing to our body as he serves among us!

NEW MEMBERS- As God continues to build Heritage, He has been pleased to bring many brothers and sisters into membership in this fold in 2022: During the year, there were 8 new member families, 4 covenant baptisms and 5 professions of faith by covenant youth. Praise the Lord!

SWEET FELLOWSHIP & SERVICE- We have had many occasions for fun and fellowship together over the last year. Here are a few snapshots of fellowship and service. There are many, many more that could be shared, many more to come!
