"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance."
The Spirit gives us utterance. Speak as He gives influence, and write as He gives words. He's alive as much now as ever! He's lost no power to convert the sinner! He's still working in the world!
Oh, beloved, do not fall into the trap of looking to yourself, looking at the giants, or doubting God. We are able to take the land, for God is with us. Numbers 14:8, “If the Lord is pleased with us, He will bring us into this land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and give it to us.” Let us see Him by faith, and watch Him work. If He's pleased with us… if we're believing God… then He'll work. We can't rely on ourselves. We must go in the Spirit's might.
Just because Pentecost doesn't happen, and no one speaks in unlearned languages, does not mean that we are alone in the battle and helpless [Acts 2:5-12]. The giants of infidelity are nothing to Him. The grace of God is sufficient.
Trust Him, oh you people, and go forward. March on to write, preach, and pray. Do not stagger in good works. Speak to promote the gospel. Stand, and do not waver. God's with us to do mightily. He's with us to save and to renew life [Titus 3:5]. He's with us to overcome sin.
Man must have a mission, and he needs power to perform it. We have both. Live for Christ's glory by the strength that He gives.
