As a nation and individuals we celebrate Veterans day and also tomorrow will celebrate once again. Many focus on men and women in uniform and on government. We can put government in perspective of derived authority from God. God uses even them for His good pleasure and purpose. All these things took my mind to a warfare that is ongoing, an armament and uniform that we must put on and I wonder if we pay attention to the rallies of our warfare SPIRITUALLY as we do these other rallies. A warfare the child of God MUST fight! Engaged in the battle in the Lord's army called to put on our uniform!!!

Battle: There is a battle going on though many will deny it. They speak of peace. We can see what is going on in the world today and can relate. Many want to minimize war and so to with the spiritual warfare that is going on. A very big mistake as the devil wants anonymity. We live in a world where the supernatural do not count unless it is in entertainment. They ask for proof and it is so easy for the child of God to shrink back unable to prove what we believe and are told so plainly in Scripture. It began at the beginning and is how history started and developed through the animosity of the devil who set himself against the man child. The world too wanted to crucify Christ! The devil still works very powerfully in this world sill today even as the nations of the earth cannot get together yet to persecute the church. There however is a warfare and a battle as we listen to the Word of God! An enemy we wrestle with in high places. It is spiritual in reality! The devil has the world doing his bidding as they are not the children of God. The devil manipulates what we see (even in technology and such) against the child of God. We do not sketch a dualism however and we know the outcome and know our victory in Christ! But the purpose of God through sin and grace to save His people who He molds and shapes through persecution and resistance.

The Call: "Be strong in the Lord in the power of His might!" See the negative when scripture is so strong. Look in the mirror and see your weakness in yourself! Man does not have a very good track record as we see in scripture that it takes us through with faltering heroes of faith who fell...but overcame ONLY IN CHRIST! Our strength is in the Lord and are empowered and strong ONLY when we stand in the Lord and are in continual contact with Him! He makes us soldiers IN HIM to fight the battle and tells us to trust in Him and by faith we believe it! We stand in that conviction and in His might! Who is stronger than GOD? "Soldier of the Cross...STAND!" When you stand you don't slouch...you stand and are ready knowing God is going to fight His battle in and through us! He does not fight it without us.

The Stand: We will stand in His strength as we fight His battle. We would lose in our own strength. We will fight and have already won when Satan and his own will be cast out and we will live with the Lord evermore!
