All Consuming Wisdom Provides Direction - Proverbs 3:6
Have you ever prayed for God to direct your paths? Maybe you have prayed that prayer, but it didn't seem as though divine guidance was available. Well, Dr. Solomon provides insight that might expose the source of the apparent silence. We not only have to trust the Lord with all our hearts, He must dominate every area. Nothing is excluded from godly domination of God over our lives. There is not one aspect of our lives that does not fall under the dominion of Christ (even our thoughts; II Corinthians 10). We must learn to acknowledge God in all our ways. We must acknowledge God in our thinking, planning, and reasoning. This is a discipline that needs to be initiated now.
This begs the question - what areas of our lives are we holding back from God? What areas are you trusting your own understanding rather than acknowledging God? We acknowledge God in all our ways, then we will see God directing us. This means we take God as our guide rather than being led by our flesh and desires. The wise Christian understands that God's direction is what leads us to our eternal home. Think about it, those who followed the cloud and pillar of fire were led to the promised land. And while on this glorious journey never forget to acknowledge Him.
