The court jesters of our broken culture all display their essential foolish natures every week night on national T.V. after the evening news… these same fools also mock at truth, and praise the sin of a fallen world. Our culture has learned well to mock at sin, to laugh at truth and to despise all that is good and praiseworthy. Our values are upside down, valuing the lives of dogs and cats over the unborn, and all the while, fools mock on... God forgive us, but the church has been culpable in this atrocity. The church is the visible representation of God's glory among the heathen, among the pagans, among the lost; and we have allowed the world to shove us off to the realm of the laughable, the hypocrite, the despicable, the fool because we have refused to stand and live out our inheritance. If you belong to Christ, you are a child of the Most High God! NO ONE has a cleaner past than you do for your sins have been forgiven and removed; NO ONE has a better today because you have the Spirit of God dwelling within you; NO ONE has a better future than you because your Father has undertaken to watch over you and care for you in EVERY possible way. You need not give in to the pressure of a fallen culture, nor do you need to use the tools and weapons of that culture to fight your battles! Oh, dear child, set yourself to live out the power of God; to display to a broken world what it means to be forgiven, to be set free. Do not wallow in the filth with them! Do not rejoice with pride in that which should be despised and pitied. Let the lost around you see what God is like and let your life shine before men! Be the glory, and let God's goodness live through you. Don’t lose heart, you WILL see His goodness!
