Proverbs 14:26-27 tells us these truths: "In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, " The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
To fear the Lord is to gain strong confidence and those who fear Him will also have a place of refuge. Beyond this a growing palpable fear of the Lord results in a fountain of life and enablement to shun evil.
Show me a Christian who does not fear the Lord and I'll show you a Christian who is overcome by failure in his/her Christian walk. It is a sad state of affairs that I can look back on my own life and realize that much of my five decades being a Christian is marked by a lack of victory. What does your life say to you about your own failings and victories?
Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego are three men we meet in Daniel chapter three. It is an extremely tense situation as they faced the tyrant known as Nebuchadnezzar. Yet the three men were composed and confident though they faced certain death.
