(Psalm 61:1-2) “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Does God hear us when we cry unto Him? Does He attend to our needs? Do we only cry unto Him when we are overwhelmed? Our trials, tribulations and sorrows are designed by God to cause us to cry out Him if we are His sheep. To the lost sheep they lead us to the Rock of Salvation! To the saved they lead us to the rededication and recommitment. Suffering burns away the dross and purify the soul. Suffering causes repentance. Repentance moves God. Don’t miss the lessons of suffering.
(1 Peter 4:1-2) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
