(Hebrews 11:6)
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Do you believe in Superman? No? How about Tarzan, Lord of the apes? Can we make ourselves believe in them just by choosing to? No, because in our hearts and minds we are convinced they are fictional characters. But there is a difference between belief and faith. And even then, faith is not blind. There are reasons for faith just as there are reasons for belief. The Bible is one among many of those reasons God used to change my mind about the reality of God. The only Book in the world made up of 66 different books, written by 40 different men, over a 1500 year period of time, written in three different languages on three different continents and all of it about the same topic blended perfectly together as though written by the same hand! It was. Because it was! The hand of God! Yes, belief and faith take some type of evidence, but saving faith, (faith in the right object, Jesus Christ) is a gift from God!
