(Amos 8:11)
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:”

Just as in any famine, there are small pockets here and there that receive rain, but certainly not enough the sustain the health of a large nation. So it is in the Spiritual famine that has swallowed up this land. The rain is falling but the soil is not soaking it up! When God rains down judgment like He has so many times on Israel, what can we say? There is unrighteousness with the Lord? God forbid! We live in a Nation where the word is being preached but sin and unrepentance has closed the ears and heart to the warning of God. The false preachers and pseudo-Christianity that are growing like a wildfire are an abomination to the Lord. Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Or is it to late? Has the Church chosen not to hear truth for so long that now God has sent deafness and it CAN NOT hear? I’m not talking about the lost but about His people! Amos was a prophet speaking to the people of God! Have we stepped over God’s mercy line?
