(Gen 50:20) “ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good”. The evil brought on by Joseph’s brothers was dreadful indeed, an evil I cannot even imagine. There were many evil’s in the world then, just as there are in our world today, too many to list. But a true child of God has much to bring peace to our soul, no matter what comes our way. We lean on this, “BUT GOD”. The God of all creation has not left the reins of this world unto men! All things are of Him, Through Him, and to Him! (Rom.11:36). Dear Child of the most High, do not fret at these times of Evil. The Word of the Creator, has told His people, “Do Not Fear”, “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33), if the love of God for His chosen people brought Him to lay down His life for them, how shall He not freely give us all things, (Rom.8:32). Evil and wicked hearts crucified the Son of God, but God meant it unto Good! He purposed it, by His own determinant counsel. As we look upon that evil and vile act of men, we can see the goodness of God, in saving a people for Himself, we can see His Grace in not giving us what we deserve, we can see His Mercy in laying our iniquities on our Substitute, we can see His Love in laying down His Life for us, we can also see His power, He laid down His life, He took it up again! And He now sits on His throne as the God-man, ruling all that comes to pass! For His Glory! Thus saith the Lord “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”. (Heb.13:5) that is our peace in these troubled times!
