Part of the issue that we face is the now and not yet of our lives in light of the will of God. He calls us to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking - not because our persistence changes the mind or intent of God. We do not continue because God would rather say no, but will relent when we have worn Him out with our asking. Rather it is that God calls us to keep on because the timing is already fixed, and until that day comes we need to be reminded always of our utter dependence upon our God. He has prepared according to His good and perfect will, but we need to be reminded that His will IS good and His will IS perfect. So rather than attempting to fix it ourselves and corrupt THIS precious moment with our fury, God calls us to wait in an attitude of dependence, of patience, of trust, of joyful expectation... He promises that He WILL absolutely provide all that is needed, that He delights in giving good gifts to His beloved children and that His love for us will never abate! Beloved of God, understand that your Father will give His good things in the fullness of His own timing and until that time arrives, remind yourself that just being permitted the privilege of asking is worth any amount of waiting that it might entail. Do not grow weary of asking for that which your Father delights to give. Trust His timing and trust His heart.
