We Preach Christ and Him Crucified - 1 Corinthians 1:23
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Matthew 12:8
Wisdom from the Proverbs:
My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Proverbs 3:11-12
Time and Place Salvation
There are many who make much out of a “know so” salvation, and insist on a time and place when “you got saved”. Well I have a Time and Place when the Lord Jesus Christ saved me and brought to me know Him.
The Time - “Chosen In Christ before the foundation of the world”, again “God who hath saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to His own purpose and grace given us in Christ before the foundation of the world” “When it Pleased God who separated me from my mothers womb and called me by His grace”.
The Place – Two thousands years ago when Christ bore my sins in His own body on the tree, when He was made sin for me and put away my sin once for all by the sacrifice of Himself. Do you have a time and place when God saved you by His grace in Christ? -

Gems from John Bunyan
1) Christ is the desire of nations, the joy of angels, the delight of the Father. What solace then must that soul be filled with, who has the possession of Him to all eternity!
2) Let death come when it will—it can do the Christian no harm, for it will be but a passage. . .out of a prison—and into a palace; out of a sea of troubles—and into a haven of rest; out of a crowd of enemies—and into an innumerable company of true, loving, and faithful friends; out of shame, reproach, and contempt—and into exceeding great and eternal glory!
3) The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Those who lack the beginning—have neither middle nor end.
4) What God says is best—is best—though all the men in the world are against it.
5) I saw that it was not my good frame of heart that made my righteousness better, nor my bad frame that made my righteousness worse; for my righteousness was Jesus Christ himself, the same yesterday and today and forever.
Timeless Truths
This article was in Brother Donnie Bell's bulletin from October 2008 just before the election that year. I put this in the bulletin this week to show the timeless truth of these words as we near an election in 2020.
With much love in Christ, Wayne
There is much interest in the coming election but here are some things that are true no matter who is the next president. “The heart of the king (president) is in the hands if the LORD, and as rivers of waters, he turneth it whithersoever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1).
1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
2. Prayer will still be answered.
3. The Holy Spirit will still exalt the Lord Jesus.
4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5. There will still be the anointed preaching of Christ crucified
6. The purposes of God will still not be thwarted.
7. God will still be a wall of fire to protect and bless His people.
8. There will still be the preaching of the Cross!
9. The Lord Jesus is still coming again.
10. Christ Jesus will still save sinners and continue to build His church.
ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW THAT GOD IS THE GOD OF PURPOSE--- HE REALLY IS IN CONTROL! ROMANS 8:28 WILL STILL BE TRUE!
