Here is the position of the favored, the attitude of the chosen, the default mindset of the elect. We would rather live trusting in the goodness of our God, than in the frail will of our fallen nature... we would rather cast our whole being on the promise of the King, having no idea what manner of deliverance He has prepared. Instead of all the carefully prepared contrivances that our abilities can imagine... we would sooner humble ourselves under His mighty hand, knowing that God will lift us up in His infinite love!! This means that if you are God's child, whatever trial you face this day, your Father has already resolved your pain... you may not see your deliverance today, you may have to wait for a season, but you have humbled yourself, and in doing so, have admitted that God's plan and purpose are worth waiting for. That they are better than your hopes, stronger than your dreams, more powerful than your pain. Humbling yourself under His mighty hand means that you are positioned to rest in His will, and have already cast upon Him your cares and burdens, trusting in this most precious truth of scripture - He cares for you!! Oh, my beloved child, cast your every sorrow, care, burden and pain upon the infinite mercy of your loving Father. He has paid all, and will surely deliver, for He loves you!
