Africans around the world identify with the sufferings of Blacks in America.

What are we going to do about it?

1. In the US, demand structural change. Fire police chiefs when their officers show disregard for the law. They are not leading well. This will cause the police to police themselves from the top down.

2. Demand body cams be working and turned on at all times. This way, any complaint can be seen for what it is.

3. Carry ourselves with the highest dignity. Protesting is good, but we must police ourselves and our own behavior. Lawlessness is not the best response to a law breaking policeman.

4. Be thankful for non Blacks who speak out. Work with them. We need the help. The Civil Rights Movement and Abolition Movement were not fought by Blacks alone.

5. Seize every opportunity to better yourself. With one hand Nehemiah built, and with the other they held the sword. Fight for justice, but work hard toward self-determination. Own your own piece of the pie. Make no excuse to slack your diligence.

I'm a minister of the gospel, but these are practical steps to a more just society.

We are sinners - both sides. Self government is rebellion. We need to look to our Lord Jesus Christ as the rightful Heir and Ruler. Then, we're governed by His righteous laws and good commands, which are ultimately trust in His grace and love to each other.
