Monday we will need forgiveness, work to do, and, we think, a cup or two of coffee to get started.

Tuesday our need will be patience with growing, slow-learning children, and forgiveness.

Wednesday’s need will be strength to get over the hump, and forgiveness.

Thursday we will need forgiveness for lack of faith, and wisdom to take the right path among several.

Friday night we will need grace to be holy, and forgiveness when we fail.

Saturday we will need forgiveness, and to focus on God and relationships more than on the lawn.

Every day God will supply all our need.

In a special way this day, Sunday, God will supply all our need. For it is His Day, the Lord’s Day when we hear of God’s riches and the gospel of grace:

God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense

On this day the Lord has made we receive of these riches through God’s own Sunday best:

the preaching and blessing of the Savior, the crucified, risen Head of the Church

And we gather in worship and behold Christ in one another and encourage one another in the faith.

This week, beginning today, God will supply all our need, as He always, faithfully, has.

The Word of God. One another. Bread. Mothers. And

Pardon for sin
And a peace that endureth
God’s own dear presence to cheer
And to guide
Strength for today
and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside

The riches of glory. And a song in our heart and on our lips of joy and praise.

For such a time as this.
