For one government restriction or another, many of us seem to have a lot of time on our hands.

There is a divine reason.

God has given us the time so we might redeem it.

“Redeem” is a word that brings us to the market place. The Greeks call it “the agora.” We know it as Meijer’s, Aldi’s, Menard’s.

Only the market place where we buy “time” is not somewhere we go to in order to purchase it.

We exist in time. It is always there to buy. Where is every second of our lives, where we are every second…

there is an aisle, or a thousand,

where there is just one item in the midst of all the groceries, the lumber, the grass seed

we have to have…

It is the time.

We must redeem this time. It is not just a necessity. It is the necessity.

“Redeeming” the time is seeing and appreciating every day and every circumstance as blessed opportunity.

What blessed opportunity? That in this time, in all our life, in every circumstance of our life we may serve the Lord.

Time on our hands is the gift of God into our hands. It is given for our souls that we might see that now, with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, we have a truly favorable occasion, and much grace, to know God, draw near to God, and serve Him and testify of His existence, His goodness, and His glory.

Yesterday is gone. There may be no tomorrow. Now is the time to praise God.

That is why Jesus came into it, purchasing us from Satan’s slave market of sinners.

Redeem the time, beloved, in these last days, knowing that the days are truly more evil than a virus.

The devil would sell you the world for your soul.

For such a time as this.
