Hello everyone, Looks like we will be meeting via live stream for most of this month. May we who are the people of God take comfort that God is in control over this virus, and when the time He deems for it to be over, it will cease. Let we who are the born-again blood-washed saints of God trust Him now just as we have in days which have past. May the Lord Jesus Christ give us grace to help in times of need, we are a very needy people and may we repose in His sovereignty! With much love in Christ, Wayne

Isaiah 32:1-2 “Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.” ***** The Lord of Glory Author: Thomas Kelly Tune: Doxology
1. The Lord of glory, moved by love, Descends, in mercy, from above; And He, before whom angels bow, Is found a man of grief below.
2. Such love is great, too great for thought, Its length and breadth in vain are sought; No tongue can tell its depth and height; The love of Christ is infinite.
3. But though His love no measure knows, The Saviour to His people shows Enough to give them joy, when known, Enough to make their hearts His own.
4. Constrained by this, they walk with Him, His love their most delightful theme; To glorify Him here, their aim, Their hope, in Heaven to praise His name. ***** What does God Require of Us? What does God require of us now? Some say He requires that you do the best can do. No! He requires that you do the best God can do. He requires that you love HIM with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. That means 100 percent. Some say that he Only requires that you love your neighbor as yourself. Are you listening to what God requires? Now where does that leave you? This ought to shut our mouths. For we know we cannot render unto God what he requires. This is impossible with you and I. But, bless the God of Heaven, it is possible with the Lord Jesus. He fulfilled all that the Father required and satisfied His holy justice perfectly for all who believe. God demands perfection in that He is perfect Himself, and He will not accept anything short of what He is. I must have a perfect Savior. John the Baptist found the sacrifice when He cried, “Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.” Oh, may you and I be found in HIM, The Lord our Righteousness. --Scott Richardson ***** Who gets the Glory? If you wish to know if the gospel you are hearing preached is the gospel of God, ask yourself this question, “Who gets the glory?” If you wish to know whether your religious experience is of the flesh or of the Lord, ask yourself the same thing, “Who gets the glory?” Also, examine all your gifts, works, and missionary efforts by the same rule, “Who gets the glory?” God will not share His glory! That which is of God, from God, and for God’s glory will be blessed with His presence and power “that no flesh should glory in His presence. ... that, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord (1 Corinthians 1:29, 31).” --Pastor Henry Mahan ***** The Sovereign Grace of God! Man’s entire apostasy and death in sin, so that he cannot save himself; and God’s entire supremacy, so that He saves whom He will; are doctrines exceedingly distasteful to human pride. But they are Scriptural? Why was one thief saved and the other lost? “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in Thy sight. All things are delivered unto Me of My Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him (Matthew 11:25-27).” “Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in Thy sight.” God was not bound to save the one thief, and He had power enough to have saved the other thief, and neither thief could save himself. What made the difference? The Sovereign Grace of God! “For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what has thou that thou didst not receive it? (1 Corinthians 4:7).” --Horatius Bonar ***** Therefore, Brethren, we are Debtors! Romans 8:12-14 “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors! (Romans 8:12).” Christian, stop and ponder for a moment, what a debtor you are to divine sovereignty! God could have destroyed you if He had pleased — it is entirely of His own good pleasure that you are made one of His beloved children, while others are allowed to perish. Consider, then, how much you owe to His sovereignty! If He had willed it — you would have been among the damned! If He had not willed your salvation — then all you could do would have been utterly powerless to deliver yourself from perdition! Remember how much you owe to His sovereign love, which tore His own Son from His bosom — that He might die for you! Let the Cross and bloody sweat remind you of your obligation. Consider how much you owe to His forgiving grace — that after ten thousand affronts, He loves you as infinitely as ever! Consider what you owe to His power — how He has raised you from your death in sin; how He has preserved your spiritual life; how He has kept you from falling; and how, though a thousand enemies have beset your path — He has upheld you on your way! Consider what you owe to His immutability. Though you have changed a thousand times — He has not changed once. Though you have shifted your intentions — yet He has not once swerved from His eternal purpose, but still has held you fast. Christian, consider that you are as deep in debt as you can be to every attribute of God. To God you owe yourself, and all that you have!
