Seperating Ourselves To Worship
By law now we must keep our distance from one another. We are separated from one another by governmental decree, lest the virus infect us all.
By grace, according to the will of God there is, in this pandemic, a revelation of the spiritual distance between the people of God and the people of this world.
Today, for example, on this second Lord’s Day of what I would call “the Great Separation” (I have missed the Sovereign Grace congregation for two Sundays now!), the people of God were to be found worshiping God. Maybe not by assembling together physically. But by assembling together on You-Tube; Church websites; Facebook, and the like.
Worshiping God! And all while worldlings worried.
Worshiping God in Spirit and in truth. As the worldlings did their restless thing carnally, conned and convinced that this world is all there is, and that this present virus is threatening all there is.
The worship of God. Continue on through the week, beloved, worshiping.
Glorying in the God Whose Savior Son came and is coming to save us from the plague of sin.
For such a time as this.
