Well, things sure have changed, haven’t they? This made me think of Solomon’s words, “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it is said, ‘See, this is new’? It has been already in the ages before us” (Ecc 1:9-10). Things might have changed for us, but we’re not experiencing anything that God’s people haven’t experienced in the past.
No matter what else changes for us, we have this unchanging foundation: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb 13:8).
I’m thankful for many things, including the technology that allows us to be together. Is that biblical since we aren’t together physically? Paul thought so: “For though absent in body, I am present in spirit” (1 Cor 5:3; Col 2:5; 1 Thes 2:17). Some churches are recording services on Saturday to have them uploaded Sunday morning, but I've been reluctant to do this so we have the unity of worshiping "together."
Sermon Audio emailed that they expected some hiccups, because the load to their servers multiplies regularly. Still I heard many of you had good experiences last Wednesday and Sunday, and hopefully this week can be even better. If your live stream glitches, try reloading the page. Again, here are the two links to choose from:
