God's Grace and Mandates of Men |
|
|
God’s grace to us in the mandates of men. Do you taste and see? The governor has ordered all non-essential retail stores closed. Too much risk of spreading the virus. And what do we think of? This, of course: What are essentials? What do we really need? Yes, paint and plumbing, and boards and bread. So Meijer’s. Lowes. We can still go there. These stores have the stuff we need. But more, something more essential: Christ. He is our life (Colossians 3:4). Grace has prompted us to think of the basics—what truly makes for life, for health, for flourishing. And we think of the Savior. Through Him we have access by one Spirit to the Father. Storehouse of everlasting life, joy, and the treasure of fellowship with God. Let us go there. Grace is leading the way. For such a time as this. With you in Him, confiding in the Savior and His truth and love, Pastor Dick |
