“For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:17)
Joseph H. Gilmore wrote:
“He leadeth me! O blessed thought! O words with heavenly comfort fraught! Whate'er I do, where'er I be, still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.”
Whatever your path may be, if Christ has been made to be your only hope; if Christ and His blood have been made to be your only plea as a sinner before God, then take comfort in knowing that it is God’s own hand that is leading you. The path may not be easy, the path may have no end in sight, but remember this: it is still God’s hand that is leading you. Not following you, leading you. You are not alone. He is with you to the end. He will protect you, and keep you from harm. You may come upon a fork in the road and may not know which way to go, but He does! Trust Him and follow Him. All of His paths are mercy and truth! (Psalm 25:10) May God give us, as His people, faith and a willing heart to say, “His faithful foll’wer I would be, for by His hand He leadeth me.”
