(and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14

Here we may behold Deity incarnate: God manifested in human nature! Turn aside and see this great sight: contemplate this object with fixed attention, until your heart is suitably affected by the contemplation: gaze with the eye of faith on this brighter “Morning Star,” gaze on this nobler “Sun of Righteousness,” until every sublunary object is eclipsed by its superior splendor.

Psalm 45:6

the scepter of Thy kingdom is a right scepter.”

Joy to the World!
By Isaac Watts G.F Handel/ L. Mason
1. Joy to the world! the Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King.
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
2. Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns:
Let all their songs employ,
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
3. No more let sin and sorrow grow
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as the curse is found.
4. He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.

He is Sovereign Lord of All!
Christ, as He is God, is infinitely great and high above all.
He is higher than the kings of the earth, for He is King of kings, and Lord of lords. He is higher than the heavens, and higher than the highest angels of heaven. So great is He, that all men, all kings and princes, are as worms of the dust before Him.
All nations are as the drop of the bucket, and the light dust of the balance, yes, and angels themselves are as nothing before Him. He is so high, that He is infinitely above any need of us, so above our reach that we cannot be profitable to Him, and so above our conceptions that we cannot comprehend Him.
Christ is the Creator and great Possessor of heaven and earth.
He is sovereign Lord of all!
He rules over the whole universe, and does whatsoever pleases Him.
His knowledge is without bound.
His wisdom is perfect, and what none can circumvent.
His power is infinite, and none can resist Him.
His riches are immense and inexhaustible.
His majesty is infinitely full of awe.
Yet, His condescension is sufficient to take a gracious notice of the most unworthy, sinful creatures, those that have no good deservings, and those that have infinite ill-deservings.

Secure in Christ!
The sinner who has saving faith knows that the righteousness Christ fulfilled as the condition of the Covenant of Grace is so valuable in itself, and in the eyes of the Father, that it is sufficient to procure justification, sanctification, and all other saving benefits to sinners who in themselves deserve death and damnation.
So they are happy who are in Him. They shall never perish but have everlasting life, being eternally secure under the cover of His righteousness as a sufficient defense.
