One of the faith actions we studied recently was that faith deflates our pride. When the conquest of Jericho was completed, the children of Israel couldn’t rightfully stand around and cheer, “WE did it! WE conquered Jericho!”

Instead, the only praise they could offer up was praise to God for His amazing work. It was His work and His plan. This showed that the one true God was with these people. It was faith in God’s promise that brought down the walls of Jericho.

Likewise, it was Moses’ faith in God’s promise that saved the firstborn Jewish males at Passover. The fact that Abraham believed so strongly in what God had promised allowed him to offer his only son, Isaac. Actions of faith bring glory to God.

God has given us these and many other examples in His Word. Why would we not build on that in our own lives? Why would we not ask, “What can God do through my life?”

With God, an inadequate human has everything and can do anything. Believe God; do what He says to do. Then, you, too, can show off His glory.
