Sometimes in life we face situations so daunting, so impossible, that we are tempted to just give in, give up, and go sit on the couch. But what if we had faith that God can do the impossible? That is our second faith action: Actions of faith allow God to do the miraculous. As the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, God can choose to operate outside of the natural laws. He is only waiting for us to believe Him.

It was by faith that Daniel miraculously survived a night in the den of hungry lions. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego displayed amazing faith when they refused to disobey God by bowing to Nebuchadnezzar’s idol.

I believe we see a miracle take place every time a person is born again. By faith in the finished work of Christ, a soul passes from death to life. I believe that God can work miracles today, and we are foolish to say that He doesn’t still do the miraculous. However, I don’t believe that He performs those miracles through those who call themselves faith healers.

You might say, “Well God has never done anything miraculous in my life.”

My reply to that would be to ask if you have given God the opportunity to do the miraculous? Have you stepped out in faith, holding on to nothing but His promises? Act in faith to showcase God’s miraculous ability.
