Matthew 14:30 "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me." This verse speaks of Peter's experience of walking on water. It started out well and ended well but in the middle, he lost his focus. Notice Peter didn't focus on the waves. He was a fisherman and knew how to handle those. He focused on the "wind boisterous." Peter coudln't just "do" something with something that was intangible. For a moment he feared the "what if's". He feared until he realized that the only One Who could control the "unknown" was the LORD. Friend, you may be facing an "unknown" such as a loss of a job, loss of health, or the death of a loved one. The wind is boisterous, but the Lord is just as near as He was with Peter. Our Pastor has been preaching sermons that help us focus on the Lord not our circumstances. Focus on the Creator of the wind not the "what if's".
