If God cares so much about marriage, then where do singles fit into His plan? Can God still use them?

Consider the Apostle Paul. He had a thriving ministry as a church planter, missionary, writer, and preacher, yet he was single. He debunked the notion that life doesn’t really begin until you get married. Whoever said singleness was boring obviously forgot to tell him.

Now I believe God intends that most people marry, but everyone fits into His plan - even single people.

Jesus Christ wants you to experience the abundant life. You may say, “Sure Pastor Jim, but how can I experience an abundant life if God doesn’t give me a husband or wife to help me overcome my loneliness?”

Friend, God never intended for a mate to fill the void you feel in your heart. This can only be filled by Him. When you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ by trusting in His death, shed blood, and resurrection for eternal life, He promises to be with you always. You can experience lasting joy and peace in Him, such as you will not find in any other relationship.

But let’s look at a few reasons why God may delay fulfilling your desire for marriage:

God does care if you are single. Your present lot does not mean He values you any less or that your ministry potential is minimized. Where God has placed you is where He can best use you at this time. Let Him use you to your fullest potential today.
