Your testimony before your family is very important. A Christian woman married an atheist. Sparks flew from the very beginning of their marriage. The husband always ridiculed her because of her faith in Christ. In his opinion, she couldn’t do anything right because everything she did was influenced by her relationship with Jesus. But for every abusive comment her husband threw her way, the wife treated him with grace, love, and respect. She faithfully washed the dishes, did the laundry, and served in the kitchen without a single word of complaint.

After a few years, a little girl was born to the family. Grace was her father’s pride and joy. For the next ten years, both parents raised Grace the best they knew how.

To her mother, Grace was a gift from God. To her father, Grace was a reward for putting up with his wife. But everything changed when Grace suddenly became very sick. The doctors thought she would die.

Grace’s illness had a sobering effect on her father. He wasn’t known for being emotional, but one day his wife found him at Grace’s bedside sobbing. He swallowed his tears and said, “All of these years, I have seen nothing but reality in your life. You have lived out those things you believe about Jesus, and you have been there for Grace during her illness. There’s such a peace about you, and I know it’s because you know you are going to Heaven. If Grace dies, I want to join both of you in Heaven. I’m going to put my trust in Jesus, too.”
