where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens:
HE hath done whatsoever HE hath pleased.” Psalm 115:1-3

Glory, Glory to God!
Author: Unknown Tune: Brethren, We Have Met to Worship (W. Moore)
1. Glory, glory, I'm forgiven! All my sins are washed away:
Christ, by His great blood atonement, all my sin has put away.
Sin imputed to my Savior, for He died upon the tree;
As the Substitute for sinners, God will not impute to me.
2. Glory, glory, I'm accepted! Robed in Christ's own righteousness,
I'm a child, an heir of heaven, saved by God's almighty grace.
Christ's obedience to the Father is imputed now to me:
In God's sight I'm pure and holy, He declares me so to be.
3. Glory, glory, I'll not perish! In Christ's hands I am secure:
He who saved me, sure, will keep me;
By God's grace I shall endure.
This is not a vain presumption; I just take Him at His Word:
He has sworn, "They shall not perish
who believe on Me their Lord!"

Perfect Righteousness, Perfect Grace!
When the Holy God and a ruined sinner meet on a blood-splattered platform, all is settled once and for all, settled in such a way as to perfectly honor and glorify God and eternally save the sinner. The only proper meeting place between God and man is the point where grace and righteousness meet and perfectly harmonize. Nothing but perfect righteousness could suit God, and nothing but perfect grace could suit the sinner. But where could that take place? Only in the cross. There it is that mercy and truth are met together, and there the believing sinner finds peace for the heart and conscience. --Pastor Scott Richardson

No Condemnation in Christ!
It is the unspeakable privilege and comfort of all those that are in Christ Jesus that there is therefore now no condemnation to them. He does not say, “There is no accusation against them,” for this there is; but the accusation is thrown out, and the indictment quashed. He does not say, “There is nothing in them that deserves condemnation,” for this there is, and they see it, and own it, and mourn over it, and condemn themselves for it; but it shall not be their ruin. He does not say, “There is no cross, no affliction to them or no displeasure in the affliction,” for this there may be; but no condemnation. They may be chastened of the Lord, but not condemned with the world. Now this arises from their being in Christ Jesus; by virtue of their union with Him through faith they are thus secured. They are in Christ Jesus, as in their city of refuge, and so are protected from the avenger of blood. He is their Advocate, and brings them off. There is therefore no condemnation, because they are interested in the satisfaction that Christ by dying made to the law. In Christ, God does not only not condemn them, but is well pleased with them, Matthew 17:5.

The Preachers Work and Exhortation
The work of every preacher is to be a watchmen and do our best to discover and declare the fullness of Christ and the emptiness of the creature and the snares of the great deceiver. We should do so to the fullness of the measure of the gifts and graces which are given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Let not God’s preachers consider their smallness or weakness, for our God has chosen the smallest and weakest of His saints to confound worldly wisdom and earthly might.
Believers, let us remember this, that life is short, our duties are many, our assistance is great and our reward is sure. Therefore, we faint not, hold on and hold up in the ways of well doing and Heaven (Christ the king of Heaven) shall make amends for it all.
Consider this good counsel and “never let go out of your minds the thoughts of the crucified Christ.” Let this be meat and drink unto you. Let this be your sweetness and consolation, your honey and your desire, your reading and meditation, your life, death and resurrection. --Thomas Brooks
