“Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power” (2 Thessalonians 1:11)

In Scripture, FAITH is represented as active and effectual, an operative grace, attended with good works, James 2:14-26. And yet, FAITH itself is also a work that is the Fruit of God’s Grace. It is not of man's doing, for he cannot produce it in himself, nor exercise it of himself; but it is the work of God, Ephesians 2:8-10. It is God’s operation alone in His chosen, called and redeemed ones that makes it effectual and not conditioned on man’s cooperation, Philippians 2:13. FAITH not only has the LORD Jesus for its Object, Acts 20:21, but it has Him for its Author, Hebrews 12:2.
