UN PENSAMIENTO DE LA PALABRA
“Y Amasías dijo a Amós: Vidente, vete, huye a tierra de Judá, y come allá tu pan, y profetiza allá; y no profetices más en Bet-el, porque es santuario del rey, y capital del reino. ” Amós 7:12-13
En los tiempos del profeta Amós, Israel tenía una cultura religiosa, pero no una buena cultura. ¿Cómo sucedió esto? Pues habían rechazado la palabra de Dios. Él que hablaba en estos versículos, Amasías, ¡era un sacerdote! Se suponía que él fuese un líder religioso, pero no toleraba que los profetas hablasen la palabra de Dios. Muchas personas están dispuestos a ser religiosos, pero no tienen ningún interés de ser guiados e iluminados por la Escritura. Entonces se encuentran en un lugar muy peligroso!
Por lo tanto, hagamos más que criticar a los Amasías de nuestros días. Retengamos la palabra de Dios con nuestras palabras, pero especialmente con nuestro corazón y nuestras acciones. Mirémosle como nuestra fuente de sabiduría autoritaria y obedezcamos. Podemos encontrar gozo y deleite para el alma, ya que revela a Dios y la salvación a través de Cristo. Puede traer paz a nuestros corazones atribulados. Puede convencernos del pecado, y ayudarnos a crecer con un carácter Cristo-céntrico.
Oremos que la palabra de Dios more en nosotros grandemente. Que nunca haya en nosotros hambre de la palabra de Dios (Amós 8:11-12). Que los corazones y el alma sean impactados fuertemente por la palabra De Dios, y que sea proclamada en el hogar y por toda la tierra entera.
