is now looked at.

decline.

2. THE REACTION HE ENCOUNTERED
i) The rage of the enemy
ii) The retaliation of the enemy
iii) The desertion of his army
3. THE REJECTION HE SUFFERED
i) His foolish act of disobeying God’s command
ii) Saul informed of the end of his kingship
iii) Saul’s successor is chosen by God
