Are you discouraged as a Christian ? Have you had a promise from the Lord but have not as yet seen it come to pass ? Listen to this sermon and let the Lord bless your heart. It goes without saying that a Christian should always pray. But there is another 'side to the coin.' God communicates with us. He speaks to us through His Word. As Rev Elliott looks at Luke 1:45, he brings before us the following points. 1. That God Indeed DOES Speak To His People. Rev Elliott looks at examples in the Bible of how God has spoken to His people. And in an interesting reference to His own ministry, he recounts how God has directed and led Him through prayer and reading God`s Word. 2. What The Lord Tells His People - HE WILL DO ! Amen ! Do you recall how He has done this over and over in the Scriptures ? And how you have heard how He has done it in other Christian's lives ? And how He has done it in your own life ? After all- He promised that if you came to Him in repentance and faith He would save you - and He has done that ! And that's only for starters ! 3. How does all this work out in our experience ? i) We have got to be available to God and in fellowship with Him ii) We have to be submissive to God iii) We need to pray iv) We have to give place to God's Word Luke 1: 45 - 'And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. '
