From the pen of Brother Thomas (Toad) Lester, Which are you? In the Bible, there were many who demonstrated their unashamed praise of Jesus. -In Capernaum, some men took a roof off to get a friend in the presence of Jesus. -The woman in Bethany, while in an intimidating environment, was intent on worshiping Jesus that she wept openly. When people tried to silence the blind beggar of Jericho, he kept calling on Jesus until he heard him & healed him. Zacchaeus, the tax collector climbed the tree to see Jesus and was unashamed to confess his salvation. Then we have those who would NOT confess Him for ‘fear of the Jews.” Peter denied Him, the disciples followed Him from afar, Joseph & Nicodemus waited until it was- safe- to go public in their allegiance to Him. Which are you? Too many church members will speak out about the –forbidden practices- of others yet we blush to even speak the name of Jesus. Something’s wrong! We should the fear silence! Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel.” This is a choice we must make every day!
